What foods to eat for cardiovascular disease
Cardiovascular disease patients can usually consume foods rich in vitamins, high-protein foods, and healthy fats.
1. High-vitamin foods
Fruits such as apples and peaches, and vegetables such as spinach and winter melon are rich in vitamins. These foods not only help regulate immunity but also promote the metabolism of waste products, toxins, and other harmful substances in the body. This helps cleanse blood vessels and alleviate discomfort symptoms caused by cardiovascular diseases.
2. High-protein foods
After the onset of cardiovascular disease, a patient's physical condition is often affected. Moderately increasing intake of high-protein foods can help enhance disease resistance. Common high-protein foods include eggs, milk, and fish.
3. Healthy fat foods
Patients with cardiovascular disease need to strictly limit their fat intake. Therefore, it is recommended to choose healthy fat sources in daily diet, such as white meats like shrimp and fish, or nuts such as walnuts and pistachios. These foods can reduce the severity of coronary atherosclerosis and help prevent worsening of cardiovascular conditions.
