Introduction
Meicha (vine tea) can help enhance immunity, reduce swelling and relieve pain, clear away heat and toxic substances, kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, as well as soothe the throat and relieve cough. After developing chronic pharyngitis, it is generally acceptable to drink an appropriate amount of Meicha to help alleviate discomfort symptoms associated with chronic pharyngitis. However, its effects are relatively limited. Given that chronic pharyngitis is characterized by persistent and difficult-to-cure symptoms, Meicha alone cannot cure the condition.

Mei tea can generally serve as an adjunct in managing chronic pharyngitis, but it cannot cure the condition.

Chronic pharyngitis has complex causes, possibly resulting from bacterial infections, prolonged exposure to highly irritating environments, laryngopharyngeal reflux, or allergic diseases. Symptoms may include itching, dryness, burning sensation, and a feeling of a foreign body in the throat. Mei tea possesses good nutritional and medicinal properties, containing abundant flavonoids that can help boost immunity, reduce swelling and pain, clear heat and detoxify the body, kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, soothe the throat, relieve cough, and lower blood pressure. Therefore, drinking moderate amounts of mei tea may help alleviate discomfort associated with chronic pharyngitis. However, due to its limited therapeutic effect and the stubborn, hard-to-cure nature of chronic pharyngitis, it cannot eradicate the disease.

Patients with chronic pharyngitis should actively quit smoking and alcohol consumption, improve their living and working environments, maintain oral hygiene using solutions such as nitrofurazone or compound borax solution under medical guidance, and take medications like menthol lozenges or Yinhuang throat tablets to relieve symptoms.
