Introduction
Feeling irritable and nauseous may be caused by psychological factors or pathological reasons, such as a cold abdomen or insufficient gastric motility. When symptoms are due to high mental stress, nausea, or dry heaving, relief is mainly achieved by reducing psychological stress. Exposure to cold or consuming cold foods and beverages—such as cold salads, ice cream, or iced water—can easily cause stomach chills, leading to gastric spasms and resulting in nausea and vomiting sensations.

Feeling irritable with nausea may be caused by psychological factors or pathological conditions, such as a cold abdomen, insufficient gastric motility, or digestive system disorders.

I. Psychological Causes

For instance, high mental stress can lead to stomach discomfort, nausea, and dry heaving. Symptoms are mainly relieved by reducing psychological stress. Under medical guidance, patients may take medications that regulate the nervous system—such as Oryzanol tablets, Acanthopanax senticosus tablets, or Anshen Bunao Liquid—to help improve sleep and reduce anxiety.

II. Pathological Causes

1. Cold abdomen

Exposure to cold or consuming cold foods—such as cold salads, ice cream, or iced water—can easily cause stomach chills, leading to gastric spasms and symptoms like nausea and vomiting. Under medical supervision, medications such as Sanjiu Weitai Granules, Anisodamine tablets, or Omeprazole tablets may be used for treatment.

2. Insufficient gastric motility

If symptoms result from indigestion due to overeating, oral medications such as Domperidone tablets, Jianwei Xiaoshi tablets, or digestive enzyme tablets can promote gastrointestinal motility and relieve symptoms.

3. Digestive system diseases

Diseases of the digestive system are common causes of nausea and vomiting. Conditions such as gastritis or high intestinal obstruction may both lead to nausea and vomiting.

Feeling irritable with nausea may also be caused by stomach disorders. It is recommended to maintain a light and easily digestible diet, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and engage in moderate physical activity regularly.
