Introduction
Fatigue, also known as weariness, is often caused by the accumulation of lactic acid and other metabolic byproducts, decreased muscle tone, and reduced exercise endurance. The buildup of carbon dioxide can stimulate the respiratory center, leading to yawning. Soaking the feet is commonly used to relieve fatigue. Generally, it is recommended to soak the feet for 30 to 40 minutes. However, for effective relief of fatigue, it is advisable to follow guidance from a healthcare professional.

Fatigue, also known as weariness, is often caused by the accumulation of lactic acid and other metabolic byproducts, decreased muscle tone, and reduced exercise endurance. The buildup of carbon dioxide can stimulate the respiratory center, leading to yawning. Fatigue can generally be relieved through foot soaking. The specific procedure is as follows:

1. Choose a wooden footbath basin, as wood provides better heat retention and allows for more effective absorption of medicinal components if using herbal remedies.

2. Maintain the water temperature at around 40°C (104°F), and ensure the water level covers the ankles.

3. While soaking, massage your feet with your hands. Use your thumbs to press on targeted areas, applying pressure about 36 times until you feel a mild soreness.

4. Continue kneading for 3 to 5 minutes until the feet feel warm.

Note: For effective fatigue relief, it's advisable to follow medical guidance to quickly improve discomfort. Generally, soaking for 30 to 40 minutes is sufficient. It's not necessary to soak daily; doing so every 3 to 5 days is adequate. Over-soaking may dry out the skin on the feet, especially in winter, potentially causing cracks.
