Introduction
Position the patient in the lithotomy position to expose the area for examination. After anesthesia, the physician uses a cervical clamp to grasp the anterior lip of the cervix and inserts a probe to determine the depth and direction of the uterine cavity. The uterus is distended with normal saline. Turn on the light source and adjust the objective lens to align with the examination site. Adjust the distance of the objective lens, typically to about 20 cm from the cervix, and perform a preliminary observation under white light using a 10x low-power magnification.

Vaginal examination generally refers to colposcopy, which is a primary screening method for women's cervical health. If abnormal cells are detected in the cervix during a TCT test, it is advisable to undergo colposcopy to determine whether there are any cervical abnormalities. This procedure should be performed at a正规 hospital, and the specific steps are as follows:

1. The patient empties her bladder, enters the operating room, and assumes the lithotomy position to expose the area for examination.

2. After administration of anesthesia by an anesthesiologist, the physician performs routine disinfection of the patient's external genitalia and vagina.

3. Once the anesthesia takes effect, the physician uses a cervical clamp to grasp the anterior lip of the cervix, probes the uterine cavity to determine its depth and direction, and dilates the cervix to the required diameter.

4. The uterine cavity is distended with normal saline. Then, cervical secretions are wiped away with a cotton ball. The light source is turned on, and the objective lens is adjusted to align with the area being examined.

5. The distance of the objective lens is adjusted—typically to about 20 cm from the cervix. Under white light, a 10x low-power lens is used for a preliminary observation of the cervix's shape, color, and blood vessels. Subsequently, a high-power lens is used to identify any potential cervical lesions.
