Introduction
"Post-positive" refers to being infected with the novel coronavirus. When patients experience a rapid heart rate after testing positive, it may be due to factors such as negative emotions, viral invasion, or myocarditis. Excessive worry following infection with the novel coronavirus can lead to anxiety, tension, and restlessness, causing overexcitation of the central nervous system and resulting in tachycardia.

"Post-positive" refers to individuals who have been infected with the novel coronavirus. If a patient experiences an abnormally rapid heart rate after testing positive, it may be due to factors such as negative emotions, viral invasion, myocarditis, or other causes. It is recommended to seek medical attention at a hospital promptly and receive active treatment.

1. Negative Emotions

After being infected with the novel coronavirus, patients who are excessively worried may experience anxiety, tension, and restlessness. These emotional states can lead to overexcitation of the central nervous system, resulting in increased heart rate. In such cases, mood relaxation techniques such as listening to music or hiking outdoors may help. Appropriate massage can also relieve tension, and consultation with a mental health professional may be necessary when needed.

2. Viral Invasion

Following infection with the novel coronavirus, the body's resistance significantly decreases. When the immune system is activated, it may damage host cells, leading to tissue vasodilation, nerve excitation, and consequently, a faster heartbeat. Resting may help improve symptoms. If necessary, medications such as ibuprofen granules or acetaminophen may be used under medical guidance.

3. Myocarditis

Infection with the novel coronavirus may trigger myocarditis, causing an increased heart rate. In such cases, bed rest is recommended to reduce cardiac load and tissue damage. Corticosteroids such as prednisone, hydrocortisone, or diethylstilbestrol may be used as directed by a physician when necessary.

Besides the common causes listed above, tachycardia may also result from other conditions such as coexisting disorders or insufficient myocardial blood supply. Active treatment is strongly advised.
