Size range of a 14-year-old girl's infantile uterus
A 14-year-old girl is in the transitional period between childhood and adolescence, during which the ovaries have not yet fully developed and the uterus remains in an immature state. The size of a 14-year-old girl's uterus is approximately two-thirds that of a normal adult uterus, generally measuring around 3×2×2 cm.
The uterus at this stage typically has a relatively long cervix and a short uterine body, with the uterine length being about half the length of the cervix. At this age, full development of the reproductive organs may not yet have occurred; secondary sexual characteristics are just beginning to develop, so the reproductive organs have not undergone further maturation. The endometrium is thin and the labia are small, resulting in a smaller overall uterine volume. The uterus gradually increases in size as the girl grows older.
Due to individual differences—for instance, in slender or petite females—the uterine volume may be smaller. However, as long as menstruation is regular, this should not be considered abnormal. It is recommended that adolescent girls maintain adequate nutrition, engage in moderate physical activity, and keep a positive mood.
