What should you pay attention to if HPV45 is positive?
HPV type 45 is clinically classified as a high-risk HPV type. A positive infection with HPV 45 requires active hospitalization and treatment.
HPV, or human papillomavirus, comprises over a hundred different types, broadly categorized into low-risk and high-risk groups. Infection with high-risk HPV types may lead to cervical cancer. To prevent the development of cervical cancer, regular cervical cancer screening is essential. If HPV 45 is positive and accompanied by abnormal cervical TCP findings, a colposcopy-guided multi-site cervical biopsy should be performed for definitive diagnosis. Upon diagnosis of cervical precancerous lesions, treatments such as loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), cold knife conization, or laser therapy may be administered to remove visible infected tissue. Additionally, under medical guidance, topical medications such as Baofukang suppositories or recombinant human interferon α2a suppositories can be used. Most patients will eventually test negative after appropriate treatment.
Patients infected with HPV 45 should ensure adequate rest, maintain proper genital hygiene, stay relaxed, engage in moderate physical exercise to boost immunity, and store clothing and personal items separately, keeping them clean and well-maintained.
