Introduction
Elevated levels of non-squamous epithelial cells in females may be caused by factors such as urinary tract infection, increased levels of atypical squamous epithelial cells, or human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. If a patient's urinalysis shows elevated non-squamous epithelial cells, this may be due to a urinary tract infection. The patient can take medications such as amoxicillin capsules, levofloxacin tablets, or roxithromycin tablets under the guidance of a physician for treatment.

Elevated levels of non-squamous epithelial cells in females may be caused by factors such as urinary tract infections, increased levels of atypical squamous epithelial cells, or human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.

1. Urinary Tract Infection

If a patient's urine test shows elevated non-squamous epithelial cells, this may be due to a urinary tract infection, often accompanied by increased red blood cell and white blood cell counts in routine urinalysis. Under medical guidance, patients may take medications such as amoxicillin capsules, levofloxacin tablets, or roxithromycin tablets for treatment.

2. Increased Atypical Squamous Epithelial Cells

If a TCT (thin-prep cytologic test) reveals elevated non-squamous epithelial cells, it indicates inflammation within the body, possibly caused by conditions such as vaginitis or pelvic inflammatory disease. If due to vaginitis, medications like metronidazole tablets or ornidazole tablets may be taken as prescribed to relieve symptoms. For pelvic inflammatory disease, drugs such as Kangfuyan tablets or Baofukang suppositories may be used to alleviate discomfort.

3. Human Papillomavirus Infection

Elevated non-squamous epithelial cells detected via TCT suggest abnormal cervical cells, which may result from inflammatory irritation or high-risk HPV infection leading to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Patients may follow medical advice to use topical treatments such as fluorouracil cream or imiquimod cream.

In addition, less common causes such as cervical erosion or precancerous cervical lesions may also contribute. It is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation at a hospital.
