There is no so-called best treatment for fissured eczema. Also known as asteatotic dermatitis, this skin condition is characterized clinically by thickened skin, cracking, scaling, and itching. It can generally be managed through topical medications, oral drugs, and daily lifestyle adjustments.

1. Topical Medications

Patients with fissured eczema may apply calcineurin inhibitors or corticosteroids topically under medical guidance. These applications help reduce local inflammatory responses and alleviate clinical symptoms such as thickening of the stratum corneum, skin cracking, scaling, and itching caused by fissured eczema.

2. Oral Medications

Under medical supervision, patients may also take oral H1-receptor antagonists to relieve itching associated with fissured eczema. Nutritional supplements may be used concurrently as adjunctive therapy.

3. Daily Lifestyle Management

Avoid using alkaline cleansers and excessively hot water to wash the skin. Maintain a light diet, abstain from alcohol, and avoid spicy, stimulating, and greasy foods. Consume more fresh vegetables and drink plenty of water.
