Preventing gout attacks primarily involves non-drug treatments, including dietary control and avoiding alcohol, as well as refraining from using medications that elevate blood uric acid levels, such as aspirin capsules and compound antihypertensive tablets. If blood uric acid levels remain high despite dietary management, patients may take uric acid-lowering drugs—such as allopurinol tablets or febuxostat tablets—under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Additionally, patients should avoid strenuous exercise or injuries and maintain proper weight control.
