Introduction
Eyeball swelling usually refers to a stye (hordeolum). There is generally no fastest way to treat a stye. Following medical advice, antibiotic treatments such as tobramycin eye drops, chlortetracycline eye ointment, or levofloxacin eye drops may be used, along with ultrashort wave physical therapy to prevent the abscess from spreading. If local abscess formation is obvious and causes eyelid pain and swelling, surgical drainage may be considered based on a doctor's recommendation.

In clinical practice, "eye boil" generally refers to a stye (hordeolum). There is no definitive fastest way to treat a stye. Common treatment methods include medication, physical therapy, and surgical treatment.

  1. Medication

Styes are usually caused by an eye infection with Staphylococcus aureus. Under a doctor's guidance, antibiotic eye drops or ointments such as tobramycin eye drops, chlortetracycline eye ointment, or levofloxacin eye drops can be used to help reduce inflammation.

  2. Physical Therapy

If an abscess has formed or is beginning to form, shortwave diathermy under the direction of a healthcare professional may be recommended. This helps promote rapid absorption of inflammatory infiltration and induration, encourage abscess maturation, and prevent further spread of the infection.

  3. Surgical Treatment

If there is a clearly developed local abscess causing eyelid pain and swelling, surgical drainage may be recommended by a doctor to relieve discomfort and accelerate healing.

During treatment, it is important to maintain good eye hygiene to avoid secondary infections that could hinder recovery.
