Introduction
Improper sleeping posture or maintaining the same position for a long time may lead to muscle ischemia and hypoxia. Invasion of cold air into the body can cause muscle spasms. Exposure to cold, damp air or infection with group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus may trigger rheumatoid arthritis. Elevated uric acid levels in the body result in deposition of urate crystals in joints and other tissues, inducing local inflammation and tissue damage, leading to gout.

Joint pain upon waking up in the morning may be caused by physiological factors or pathological conditions such as rheumatic arthritis or gout. A detailed medical examination at a hospital is recommended to determine the exact cause. The specific analysis is as follows:

I. Physiological Causes

Poor sleeping posture or maintaining the same position for prolonged periods may lead to muscle ischemia and hypoxia. Additionally, inadequate warmth during sleep allows cold air to invade the body, causing muscle spasms. Usually, no special treatment is required; focusing on keeping warm and developing good sleeping postures can gradually relieve symptoms.

II. Pathological Causes

1. Rheumatic Arthritis

Rheumatic arthritis may develop due to exposure to cold and damp air at night or infection with Group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus. Joint inflammation can stimulate joint nerves, resulting in pain. Under a doctor's guidance, antibiotics such as Penicillin V Potassium Tablets, Roxithromycin Capsules, or Lincomycin Hydrochloride Capsules may be prescribed to eliminate infection and alleviate symptoms.

2. Gout

Gout occurs when elevated uric acid levels in the body lead to deposition of urate crystals in joints and other tissues, triggering local inflammation and tissue damage. It is recommended to take medications such as Allopurinol Tablets, Febuxostat Tablets, or Benzbromarone Tablets as directed by a physician, which help reduce uric acid production and promote its excretion, thereby relieving symptoms.

In addition, conditions such as ankylosing spondylitis may also cause morning joint pain. It is advisable to actively seek medical treatment under professional guidance to prevent disease progression.
