Introduction
Dizziness upon waking in the morning may be a physiological phenomenon, but pathological causes such as insufficient cerebral blood supply or hypertension cannot be ruled out. If patients are under high mental stress, leading to poor sleep quality at night, it may result in nerve fatigue or dysfunction, causing dizziness and mental fogginess upon awakening. It is recommended to manage stress appropriately, maintain a balance between work and rest, and avoid excessive fatigue.

Dizziness upon waking in the morning may be due to physiological factors, but pathological causes such as insufficient cerebral blood supply or hypertension cannot be ruled out. A detailed analysis is as follows:

I. Physiological Causes

If a patient experiences high levels of mental stress, it may lead to poor sleep quality at night, causing nerve fatigue or dysfunction, which results in dizziness and mental fogginess upon waking. It is recommended to manage stress properly, maintain a balance between work and rest, avoid excessive fatigue, create a comfortable sleeping environment, and ensure good sleep quality.

II. Pathological Causes

1. Insufficient Cerebral Blood Supply

If a patient has impaired cerebral circulation, vagus nerve activity during nighttime may reduce blood flow, depriving the brain of adequate blood supply and leading to ischemia. This can cause symptoms such as dizziness and fatigue upon waking. Under medical guidance, medications such as enteric-coated aspirin tablets or atorvastatin calcium tablets may be used to alleviate symptoms.

2. Hypertension

Influenced by genetic predisposition and unhealthy lifestyle habits, arterial blood pressure may rise. Upon waking in the morning, increased sympathetic nervous system activity and elevated secretion of adrenaline can further raise blood pressure, resulting in symptoms like dizziness and stiffness. Antihypertensive medications such as metoprolol tartrate or furosemide tablets may be taken as prescribed by a physician.

Besides the above common causes, conditions such as cervical spondylosis may also contribute. If symptoms persist for an extended period, prompt medical evaluation is advised.
