Introduction
In general, different types of nasal injuries require different radiographic techniques. During imaging, avoid using a grid to ensure image accuracy, and it is recommended that the procedure be performed under the guidance of a professional. The patient should lie prone on the X-ray table or sit on a chair at one end of the table. Position the head in a standard lateral position. Place the cassette laterally to the zygomatic bone, with the nasal bone centered on the cassette.

Generally, different types of nasal injuries require different radiographic techniques. Taking nasal trauma as an example, the specific procedure is as follows:

1. The patient lies prone on the imaging table or sits on a chair at one end of the table.

2. Position the skull in a standard lateral position.

3. Place the cassette laterally to the zygomatic bone, with the nasal bones centered on the cassette.

4. Maintain a source-to-image distance of 90–100 cm.

5. Direct the central ray to the nasion and perpendicular to the cassette.

During radiography, do not use a grid. To ensure accuracy of results, it is recommended that the procedure be performed under the guidance of a qualified professional.
