Introduction
When sampling with a COVID-19 antigen test kit, disinfect both hands first, then blow your nose with a tissue to ensure the nasal cavity is clean. Open the packaging and remove the test strip. Tilt your head slightly backward, hold the swab by the handle with one hand, insert it into one nostril along the side of the nasal passage, and slowly advance about 1 cm to the bottom of the lower nasal passage. Rotate the swab against the nasal wall for at least four full circles. Then place the swab into the sample extraction tube and let it sit for one minute.
A test kit generally refers to a COVID-19 antigen test kit, which can be used to detect whether there is SARS-CoV-2 virus in the body. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Check whether the packaging and contents are damaged to avoid affecting the test result.
2. Disinfect your hands before sample collection, then blow your nose with tissue paper to ensure the nasal cavity is clean.
3. Open the package and take out the test strip. 4. Remove the swab and place it into the specimen extraction tube. Break the swab at the designated breakpoint, then tightly close the cap.
5. Wait for one minute, remove the transparent cap from the top of the extraction tube, and add four drops of the extracted sample into the designated well. Read the result after 15–20 minutes: one line indicates a negative result, while two lines indicate a positive result.
