Sanjiu Weitai usually refers to Sanjiu Weitai Capsules. Generally speaking, the differences between Weisu Granules and Sanjiu Weitai Capsules include differences in composition, pharmaceutical forms, treatment indications, precautions, and drug absorption and onset time. Medication should be taken strictly according to medical advice.

1. Difference in composition: The main ingredients of Weisu Granules include Perilla stem, Cyperus rotundus, Tangerine peel, Buddha's hand, Betel nut, and Fried Chicken's Gizzard, which together exert effects of regulating qi to relieve distension and harmonizing the stomach to relieve pain. The primary components of Sanjiu Weitai Capsules include Evodia rutaecarpa, Murraya paniculata, Poria, Rehmannia root, and White peony, which together provide multiple therapeutic effects, including clearing heat and drying dampness, promoting qi circulation and blood flow, and relieving pain by soothing the liver.

2. Difference in pharmaceutical forms: Weisu Granules are in granular form and usually need to be taken with water, making them easy to consume and absorb. Sanjiu Weitai Capsules are in capsule form and can be swallowed directly by the patient.

3. Difference in treatment indications: Weisu Granules are primarily used for treating epigastric pain caused by qi stagnation, such as bloating and pain in the epigastrium that radiates to both sides of the ribcage, with relief obtained through belching or passing gas. Sanjiu Weitai Capsules are mainly used for treating stomach pain caused by internal accumulation of damp-heat, qi stagnation, and blood stasis, such as dull upper abdominal pain, acid regurgitation, nausea, and vomiting.

4. Difference in precautions: Specific populations, such as pregnant women and patients with diabetes, should use Weisu Granules cautiously, while individuals with allergic constitutions should avoid using Sanjiu Weitai Capsules.

5. Difference in drug absorption and onset time: Since Weisu Granules are in granular form, they usually dissolve quickly, facilitating rapid drug absorption and action. Sanjiu Weitai Capsules may need to dissolve in the stomach before the medication can be absorbed, so their onset of action may be relatively slower.

If either Weisu Granules or Sanjiu Weitai Capsules are needed, they should be used under the guidance of a physician. Additionally, a light diet should be maintained, avoiding spicy and irritating foods such as chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns, to prevent interference with the effectiveness of the medication.
