2. Blood Routine Test
This primarily observes indicators such as white blood cell count and neutrophil percentage. Blood routine tests in patients with pyelonephritis often show elevated white blood cell count and increased neutrophil percentage, accompanied by neutrophilic left shift.
3. Urine Bacterial Culture
Sampling the patient's urine for culture to observe bacterial growth. If the bacterial count in the urine is ≥10^5/ml, it indicates significant bacteriuria, suggesting a urinary tract infection. If bacterial counts reach 100,000 per mL in two or more cultures, and the same bacteria are isolated each time, acute pyelonephritis can be basically diagnosed.

B-ultrasound may reveal nonspecific findings such as mild enlargement of the kidney in cases of pyelonephritis. However, it should be noted that B-ultrasound alone cannot serve as the primary basis for diagnosing pyelonephritis and should be evaluated in combination with other tests.
5. CT Scan
A CT scan can clearly show the size, shape, position of the kidneys, as well as kidney stones, tumors, etc. However, it cannot directly visualize kidney inflammation and therefore cannot be used alone to diagnose pyelonephritis; it should be interpreted in combination with other tests.
