Neonatal hypoglycemia is defined as a blood glucose concentration lower than 2.2 mmol/L. Expressed in milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), a level below 40 mg/dL (equivalent to 2.2 mmol/L) confirms neonatal hypoglycemia.
