What Are the Symptoms of Orchitis and Epididymitis?
Disease description:
I frequently experience pain and swelling in the testicular area—could this be caused by orchitis or epididymitis? What are the symptoms of orchitis and epididymitis?
Orchitis and epididymitis commonly coexist, clinically termed “epididymo-orchitis.” Both conditions present with swelling and pain on the affected side. As epididymitis progresses, inflammation may extend to the ipsilateral testicle, resulting in concurrent swelling and pain of the testicle. Pain may radiate to the lower abdomen, lumbar region, and inguinal area. It can be severe or manifest as persistent discomfort.
