Hysteroscopy is generally considered both a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure, as the gold standard for diagnosing endometrial polyps requires direct visualization via hysteroscopic examination through the cervix. Transvaginal ultrasound can detect the presence of endometrial polyps. In most cases, chronic endometritis exacerbates endometrial polyps; therefore, it must be taken seriously. Patients should avoid common colds and dietary irritants. Thus, ultrasound serves as an adjunctive diagnostic tool. On ultrasound, endometrial polyps typically appear as intrauterine echogenic lesions; dietary irritants should be avoided.
