Can bone tuberculosis be cured?

Bone tuberculosis can be cured. It is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and requires full-course anti-tuberculosis drug treatment. Commonly used medications include pyrazinamide and fluoroquinolones. For cases with prolonged illness, local injection of anti-tuberculosis drugs, such as streptomycin, may be administered. Symptomatic drug treatment should strictly follow medical advice. When bone tuberculosis leads to large abscesses that persist and fail to heal, surgical incision and drainage are generally required.
