For dysfunctional uterine bleeding during the perimenopausal period, the first step is hemostasis treatment. For example, progestins such as medroxyprogesterone acetate (Provera) or norethisterone acetate tablets can be taken orally to induce endometrial atrophy and achieve hemostasis. If endometrial pathology is suspected or bleeding is close to causing anemia, diagnostic curettage may be chosen as an emergency procedure to stop bleeding, along with administration of hormonal medications to assist in hemostasis and regulation. At the same time, patients should maintain a regular lifestyle, avoid excessive fatigue, and refrain from staying up late.
