Disease description:

Recently, my testicle has been painful even without touching or moving it, but the pain becomes noticeable as soon as I touch it. I would like to know what might cause a testicle to hurt when touched but not when left alone?

The testicle doesn't hurt when untouched, but becomes painful upon touch, which is generally a symptom caused by mild epididymitis, although varicocele should also be considered. You should seek urological examination at a local hospital as soon as possible. If diagnosed with mild epididymitis, follow your doctor's instructions to take anti-inflammatory and antibacterial medications. If diagnosed with varicocele, treatment may involve high ligation surgery of the internal spermatic vein.
