Can a vaginal delivery be possible with uterine adhesions?
Disease description:
During a late-pregnancy checkup, my sister-in-law was found by the doctor to have symptoms of uterine adhesion. She had always hoped for a natural delivery, but now she's unsure whether it's still possible. Could you please advise if vaginal delivery is feasible with uterine adhesion?
Whether a woman with uterine adhesions can have a vaginal delivery depends on the severity of the adhesions. If the adhesions are mild, the fetal position is normal before delivery, the baby's weight and development are within the normal range, and the mother is in good physical condition, a vaginal delivery may be considered. However, if the patient has cervical adhesions, the cervix may fail to dilate properly, leading to obstructed labor; in such cases, vaginal delivery is not recommended.
