Disease description:

I went for a checkup with a friend, and then I found out that I have uterine adhesions. Could this be related to abdominal pain? Can uterine adhesions cause any symptoms?

Uterine adhesions are usually asymptomatic. Endometrial adhesions themselves do not cause discomfort and are not associated with pain or abdominal pain. Diagnosis is typically confirmed through ultrasound or hysteroscopy. Menstrual abnormalities are commonly seen in women with severe uterine adhesions; if left untreated early, these adhesions may prevent menstrual blood from being properly expelled, leading to reduced menstrual flow or even amenorrhea.
