I don't know what's going on, but my left testicle hurts when touched; the right one is fine even when touched. What should I do about pain in the left testicle upon touching?

Dr. Li Mingchuan
Pain upon touching the left testicle can be treated with surgery, anti-inflammatory therapy, etc. If the patient has acute testicular torsion, which often occurs during sleep and suddenly causes severe testicular pain and swelling, manual detorsion may be attempted after definitive diagnosis. If this fails, surgical detorsion and fixation of the testicle are required; if the testicle is already necrotic, orchiectomy must be performed. In cases of acute epididymo-orchitis causing swelling and pain in the left scrotum, anti-inflammatory treatment is necessary.
