This discomfort usually resolves spontaneously with adequate rest after sexual activity. It could also be due to prostatitis or cystitis. A color Doppler ultrasound of the urinary system and prostate is recommended, which can help establish a clear diagnosis. Recovery typically occurs within two to four weeks.
