What causes testicular pain and lower abdominal pain?
Disease description:
I didn't feel anything yesterday, but today I noticed testicular pain and lower abdominal pain. What could be causing testicular and lower abdominal pain?
Testicular and lower abdominal pain may be caused by chronic prostatitis or other conditions. Infectious bacteria can irritate the urethral mucosa of the prostate, leading to mucosal edema, erosion, and inflammation of the prostate gland. Prostatic inflammation can cause inflammation at the opening of the ejaculatory duct, which may further lead to inflammation of the vas deferens, primarily manifesting as distension and pain along the course of the vas deferens and in the lower abdomen. Another possible cause is testicular torsion; if the torsion persists for too long, it may involve the spermatic cord, resulting in simultaneous pain in the testicle and lower abdomen.
