How to test for night blindness

Night blindness can generally be tested through symptoms and medical examinations. If a patient cannot see anything in the outside environment when going out at night, regardless of whether streetlights are present, this may indicate night blindness. Any condition that affects an adequate supply of vitamin A, thereby disrupting the rhodopsin visual cycle, can cause night blindness.
