Can vocal cord nodules and vocal cord polyps be seen by oneself?

Vocal cord nodules and polyps cannot be seen by oneself. Due to the anatomical location of the vocal cords in the oropharynx, laryngoscopy or other diagnostic methods are required, making visual observation highly unlikely. Patients should seek timely treatment if they have vocal cord nodules or polyps. Vocal cord polyps usually occur unilaterally, although some cases may be bilateral; therefore, patients must abstain from certain foods and avoid speaking loudly during treatment.
