Today during my cervical screening, the test results came back positive. Since I don't know much about this, I'd like to ask what this means?

A positive cervical screening result may indicate a human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, which is usually caused by early initiation of sexual activity, having multiple sexual partners, or engaging in intercourse with someone infected with HPV. Antiviral medications can be used under the guidance of doctors; commonly used drugs include fluorouracil tablets and imiquimod cream.
