Dr. Zhang Heyang
Hemophilia and leukemia are different diseases. Hemophilia is caused by a deficiency of clotting factors. Hemophilia mainly refers to hemophilia A and hemophilia B, which are primarily due to deficiencies in factor VIII and factor IX, respectively. The main manifestation is bleeding into joint cavities, with the knee joint being the most commonly affected site. Without treatment, there is a high probability of joint deformity. Leukemia is a malignant tumor of the blood system that can lead to loss of normal hematopoietic function. Therefore, although the two diseases differ in nature, both hemophilia and leukemia can present with bleeding symptoms.
