Standard for Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Dacryoadenitis
Disease description:
I have acute dacryoadenitis in my eye. Could you please tell me what are the clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute dacryoadenitis?
For dacryoadenitis caused by bacterial infection, systemic administration of sensitive antibiotics is required. Mild cases can be treated with oral penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, while severe cases with symptoms such as fever require intravenous cephalosporins, followed by adjustment of antibiotics based on bacterial culture and drug sensitivity testing. For acute dacryoadenitis caused by viral infection, systemic and local treatment with antiviral and analgesic medications is necessary, along with local cold compresses. It is important to maintain good eye hygiene and follow a light diet in daily life.
