How to perform rehabilitation training after surgery for common peroneal nerve injury
Disease description:
A few days ago, I had surgery for a common peroneal nerve injury. Now that I'm home, I'm not sure how to proceed with rehabilitation exercises. What should I do for rehabilitation after surgery for common peroneal nerve injury?
After surgery for common peroneal nerve injury, rehabilitation exercises can be performed through active or passive movements of the toes and ankle joint. These exercises generally help prevent joint stiffness and spasticity in the toes and ankle, and to some extent promote recovery of the injured peroneal nerve. Although many patients are unable to perform active toe and ankle movements, simply having the intention to move can still stimulate the damaged nerve to some degree, thereby facilitating nerve recovery.
