During a prenatal checkup, I found out that the baby is in an abnormal position. I'm already 23 weeks pregnant and I'm worried about something happening to the baby. What should I do about fetal malposition at 23 weeks?

Dr. Zhao Xiaodong
An abnormal fetal position at 23 weeks does not require treatment. Even if the fetus is in an abnormal position, there's no need to worry excessively, as the baby is still moving within the uterus, and this is only the second trimester. Sexual intercourse should be avoided during the last three months of pregnancy. In daily life, ensure adequate rest and avoid excessive mental stress. Avoid consuming raw, cold, greasy, spicy, or irritating foods. Pay attention to getting sufficient rest, avoid strenuous activities and prolonged squatting. Eat more high-fiber foods to prevent constipation.
