Is social phobia prone to recurrence?
Disease description:
I had social anxiety disorder and finally overcame it through professional psychological treatment. Now I'm worried about whether it might recur. Is social anxiety disorder prone to relapse?
Social phobia does not necessarily recur easily. Social phobia is a psychological disorder associated with factors such as cognition, childhood experiences, adverse traumas, negative events, environment, and emergencies, all of which jointly influence the patient's reactions. New unexpected incidents or encounters may trigger a relapse in previously recovered social phobia. It is also important to choose an appropriate work environment—ideally one with low job stress and minimal competition among colleagues. Working in such a supportive atmosphere can make individuals feel more at ease. If the patient maintains a positive mindset and good mental health, the likelihood of recurrence will be significantly reduced.
