If vulvitis is caused by fungal infection, it mainly causes itching of the vulva, accompanied by symptoms such as congestion, edema, and redness of the vulvar skin and mucous membranes. If it is non-specific vulvitis, it primarily leads to vulvar skin itching, pain, and a burning sensation, along with local swelling, redness, and warmth. Symptoms often worsen after sexual intercourse, urination, or defecation.
