Babies can usually take fish oil when they have a cold. Fish oil helps boost the baby's immune system and may aid in faster recovery. However, fish oil should not be taken at the same time as cold medicine. It is best to take fish oil two hours after taking cold medication to avoid any interference with the effectiveness of either. Additionally, if the baby's cold symptoms are mild and there are no obvious signs such as dizziness, nausea, or vomiting, a small amount of fish oil may be given. However, if the baby has severe cold symptoms, including significant dizziness, nausea, or vomiting, it is not recommended to give fish oil, as it might worsen the condition.
