Disease description:

I recently switched my baby to three different brands of formula, but I felt that my baby didn't absorb them very well. Today I tried this new formula, but I still feel it might not be quite suitable. I'm thinking about switching again, however, my friend says it's not good to frequently change formulas for infants. Is it really harmful to keep changing formulas for babies?

Frequently changing infant formula is not conducive to a baby's healthy growth and development. 1. A baby's digestive system is not yet fully developed and has limited adaptability to food. Frequent changes of formula may lead to digestive problems such as diarrhea, vomiting, or constipation. 2. Each brand or type of formula has a slightly different composition and nutrient profile. Frequently switching formulas may prevent the baby from adequately absorbing and utilizing certain nutrients, thereby affecting growth and development. 3. In necessary situations, such as when a baby is allergic to or cannot tolerate a particular formula, parents should switch formulas only under the guidance of a doctor or nutritionist. When changing formulas, a gradual transition should be followed, progressively increasing the proportion of the new formula to allow the baby to adapt. Meanwhile, parents should closely monitor the baby's response, and if any adverse reactions occur, they should discontinue use immediately and seek professional advice.
