What are the symptoms of enteritis?
Disease description:
The past few days I have been experiencing recurring abdominal pain, mainly a distending pain in the lower abdomen. After going to the hospital for an examination, I was told I have enteritis (small intestine inflammation). So, what are the symptoms of enteritis?
The main symptoms of enteritis include:
1. Abdominal pain: When enteritis occurs, patients first experience abdominal pain, which may be intermittent and cramp-like, accompanied by bowel sounds. The pain is usually located around the navel or throughout the abdomen.
2. Diarrhea: Mild enteritis may present as increased frequency of bowel movements and watery stools; severe enteritis may involve blood in the stool, with a significant amount of blood present.
3. Nausea and vomiting: Gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by enteritis may lead to symptoms of nausea and vomiting.
4. Systemic symptoms: Symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, and fever may also accompany enteritis.
