How is cervicitis caused?

The causes of cervicitis are diverse, mainly including the following aspects: 1. Pathogen infection: Suppurative inflammation caused by pathogens such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Chlamydia trachomatis, as well as infections caused by viruses, Trichomonas vaginalis, and others, are common causes of cervicitis. 2. Mechanical irritation or injury: Cervical lacerations that may occur during childbirth or miscarriage, as well as injuries caused by intrauterine procedures such as cervical dilation or diagnostic curettage, can lead to secondary infections resulting in cervicitis. 3.
