Disease description:

Recently, my big toe has been getting more and more crooked, and it tends to turn outward. I would like to ask, what are the exercises for correcting an outwardly deviated big toe?

Hallux valgus, also known as bunion deformity, is commonly associated with factors such as heredity, wearing improperly fitting shoes, or arthritis. Exercise methods mainly include barefoot activities, toe abduction exercises, ground-touching training, abductor hallucis muscle training, and intrinsic foot muscle training. Among these, barefoot activities such as walking on sand or stepping on a golf ball can promote local blood circulation and relieve pressure; toe abduction exercises involve applying resistance to the big toe and spreading it outward to strengthen local muscle strength; ground-touching training uses resistance bands for pressing movements to assist in correction. Additionally, abductor hallucis training, such as performing abduction exercises with a resistance band attached to the big toe, and intrinsic foot muscle training, such as attempting to form an arch in the foot, can also help improve hallux valgus. These exercises should be performed within the limit of not causing pain and are best conducted under a doctor's guidance.
