After a sunburn on the thigh, if symptoms such as redness and pain occur, immediate first-aid measures should be taken to relieve discomfort and promote recovery. Quickly move the affected area to a cool, shaded place to avoid further sun exposure and prevent worsening of the injury. Then, gently apply cold water or a cold wet towel to the sunburned thigh; this helps reduce skin temperature and alleviate swelling and pain. Take care not to apply ice directly to the skin, to avoid frostbite. Additionally, maintain adequate hydration to help the body replenish fluids and promote recovery from the sunburn. If the pain is unbearable, you may apply an appropriate amount of over-the-counter after-sun repair cream or skincare products containing soothing ingredients such as aloe vera or vitamin E. However, avoid products containing alcohol or fragrance, which may irritate the skin. If symptoms continue to worsen or severe conditions such as blistering or fever occur, seek medical attention promptly.
