Patients with high uric acid should remove the skin and fat from chicken legs as much as possible to reduce intake of fat and calories, avoiding excessive total caloric intake and weight gain, which may affect uric acid control. In addition, patients should maintain a balanced diet, consume more vegetables, fruits, and other foods rich in vitamins and minerals, and limit intake of high-purine foods such as seafood and animal offal.
