Can I eat tomato scrambled eggs with high uric acid?
Disease description:
My father used to really enjoy eating scrambled eggs with tomatoes. He just received his test results saying his uric acid levels are high. I'd like to ask, can he still eat scrambled eggs with tomatoes when having high uric acid?
Patients with high uric acid levels can eat tomato scrambled eggs, but should do so in moderation. Tomatoes, one of the ingredients in tomato scrambled eggs, are considered low-purine foods, containing approximately 2–5 mg of purine per 100 grams. Eggs are classified as very low-purine foods, with less than 3 mg of purine per 100 grams. Both ingredients have low purine content, so patients with high uric acid levels can consume them without experiencing a sharp increase in uric acid levels. During cooking, it is important not to use excessive oil, and egg consumption should be limited to no more than one per day to avoid increasing the risk of abnormal blood lipid levels. In addition, patients with high uric acid levels should also avoid consuming other high-purine foods such as animal offal and seafood. They should follow their doctor's dietary recommendations and treatment plan to effectively manage uric acid levels and maintain overall health.
