Can people with high uric acid levels eat king oyster mushrooms?
Disease description:
I really enjoy eating king oyster mushrooms, but I also have high uric acid levels. Therefore, I would like to ask: can individuals with high uric acid consume king oyster mushrooms?

Patients with high uric acid levels can eat king oyster mushrooms, but should do so in moderation. As a type of mushroom, king oyster mushrooms have a relatively low purine content, containing approximately 30mg of purine per 100 grams, which classifies them as a moderate-purine food. Therefore, for patients with high uric acid levels, moderate consumption of king oyster mushrooms generally does not significantly affect uric acid levels. It should be noted, however, that although king oyster mushrooms are not high in purine, they should not be consumed in excessive amounts. Overconsumption of any food may increase the body's burden and affect health. In addition, if patients with high uric acid levels are experiencing an acute gout attack, it is recommended to avoid consuming mushrooms such as king oyster mushrooms to prevent exacerbation of the condition.
