Patients with high uric acid levels can consume nuts in moderation, but should pay attention to the type and quantity. Nuts such as walnuts, Brazil nuts, and chestnuts have relatively low purine content and are considered low-purine foods; moderate consumption generally does not significantly affect uric acid levels. At the same time, nuts are rich in fats, protein, minerals, and vitamins, which are beneficial to health. However, because nuts also have relatively high fat content, patients with elevated uric acid often have concomitant high blood lipids or obesity, so daily intake should be controlled. It is recommended that daily consumption not exceed 30 grams. In addition, certain nuts, such as peanuts, have higher purine content and should be avoided in large quantities. Patients with high uric acid should pay attention to both the type and quantity of nuts they consume in order to maintain a balanced diet and overall health.
