How is a vascular nevus treated?
Disease description:
Recently, some dark red small spots have appeared on my hands. After seeing a doctor, I was told they are angiomas. May I ask how they should be treated?

Treatment of vascular nevi mainly includes:
1. **Drug therapy**: Under the guidance of a physician, glucocorticoid medications such as prednisone and dexamethasone may be used to induce the tumor to enter the stabilization and regression phases earlier. Additionally, medications such as propranolol hydrochloride capsules can also be used as adjunctive therapy.
2. **Physical therapy**: Includes laser therapy and cryotherapy. Laser therapy uses selective photothermolysis to occlude blood vessels and is suitable for superficial vascular nevi; cryotherapy involves inducing frostbite and necrosis to remove the vascular nevus.
3. **Surgical treatment**: For larger hemangiomas or cases unresponsive to medication and physical therapy, surgical excision can be performed. Prior to surgery, angiography is usually required to determine the extent of the vascular nevus.
