Are sweat duct tumors the same as flat warts?
Disease description:
Recently, papules have suddenly appeared on my body, sometimes causing severe itching. I'm not sure whether it's syringoma or flat warts, and I'd like to know if syringoma is the same as flat warts.

Syringomas and flat warts are not the same; they are two distinct types of skin lesions. They differ in terms of their locations: syringomas commonly occur on the skin surface or in the superficial dermis, especially on the bilateral eyelids, while flat warts typically appear on areas subject to friction, such as the palms, soles, and knees, although they can also occur on the face. Secondly, they differ in morphological characteristics: syringomas are round or oval with a smooth surface, whereas flat warts are round or irregular in shape and have a rougher surface. Additionally, their causes differ: syringomas result from hyperplasia of sweat ducts in the skin, while flat warts are caused by infection with the human papillomavirus. Treatment approaches also differ: syringomas generally do not require treatment, though surgical excision or cryotherapy may be considered if necessary, while flat warts usually require treatment through various methods such as surgical excision, cryotherapy, and laser therapy. Therefore, when skin lesions appear, timely medical consultation is essential for proper diagnosis and treatment by a qualified physician.
